The book has been written by a passionate wildlife enthusiast, conservationist, and environmentalist who has had intrinsic love for nature and outdoor living since childhood. The author worked in the Tea Industry as a Planter at Assam region of India and was Licensed by Government of India to help put down wild, rogue and killer elephants.

The author has excellent knowledge of flora and fauna and has beautifully described the wildlife, their habitat, their mannerisms in an engaging and lucid manner. The author helped the local population by humanely taking down wild, rogue, killer elephants. He saved human life and helped in conservation of wildlife in an ethical and. conscientious manner. By reading the book, one would feel the empathy the author has had for wildlife and would feel his caring and humane personality.

The author has described his experiences in hunting Big Game: Elephants, Tigers, Buffalo, Leopards in a coherent style that will keep one engaged. The thrill of hunting, the adrenaline rush when chasing the game, the passion one feels can be experienced while reading the chapters. Your heart will pump faster as Gurpreet Ji gets closer to the Game, when their eyes meet and when both opponents come face to face like two warring knights who are ready to meet their ultimate fate.

The author has provided technical knowledge about guns, types of cartridges used, angles, and positions for firing, where the best shots are for animals in order to put them down in the least pain possible. It is excellent information for people who are interested in learning the technicality behind game hunting. Also, there are interesting encounters of the author when shooting abundant Partridges, Ducks, and Geese that used to appear during the migration season.

The author has used mesmerizing words to describe the nature, scenery, mountains, streams and rivers. He has provided account of the life of natives of Assam, their friendly disposition, customs and simple life style.

The author has also provided subtle advice from his experience on life/etiquette in dealing with social situations, understanding ourselves, our boundaries, living with family life/balance, honour, commitment, and dedication to work

All in all, a very well written book, it will keep your interest till the end and you will gain knowledge of wildlife conservation and understand why it was necessary to put down rogue animals for the safety of human beings. I personally have been influenced by this book and plan on learning more about the beautiful nature and wildlife of my part of the world – Canada and hope to spend more time outside with nature and admire God’s wonderful gift to us till it lasts.
